Felicity is currently studying for a Master’s Degree in conducting at the Royal Northern College of Music with Mark Heron and Clark Rundell. She is also the new Principal Conductor and Director of the Amadeus Academy, a popular summer orchestral course with a thirty year legacy.
In June, she will conduct a studio performance and recording with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra of E. Smyth’s Overture to ‘The Boatswain's Mate’ and B. Martinů’s Violin Concerto No.1 with soloist, Kryštof Kohout. She will also conduct the orchestra in four performances in different schools in Greater Manchester as part of their ‘Schools’ Tour’.
Over the past year, Felicity has taken part in masterclasses with Nicolas Pasquet, John Storgårds and Antony Hermus and assisted renowned conductors such as Vasily Petrenko Anja Bihlmaier (including at the BBC Proms 2024) and Samy Moussa with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also given concerts with the Salford Symphony Orchestra, Leeds Haydn Players and Blackpool Symphony Orchestra and competed in the final of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain’s Young Conductor Competition.
Felicity would like to thank The Headley Trust for generously supporting her studies this year.
